NBA YoungBoy Reportedly Signs Deal With MoTown Records & Will Be Releasing Music Under Them In 2023

Back in August, we broke the news that NBA YoungBoy had allegedly signed a $60 million deal with Birdman’s Cash Money Records.

Well, new reports reaching us at Dreddsworld is that NBA YoungBoy has signed a deal with MoTown Records.

An insider exclusively told us that the Baton Rouge rapper will begin releasing music under MoTown Records in 2023. However, our source didn’t reveal the worth of the deal and we haven’t independently confirm this claims.

Motown Records is an American record label owned by the Universal Music Group. It was founded by Berry Gordy Jr. as Tamla Records on June 7, 1958, and incorporated as Motown Record Corporation on April 14, 1960. Its name, a portmanteau of motor and town, has become a nickname for Detroit, where the label was originally headquartered.

In late 2017, Gaulden was signed to Atlantic Records. In January 2018, he released the single “Outside Today”, which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song became the lead single for his debut studio album Until Death Call My Name (2018) which peaked at number 7 on the US Billboard 200.

In August 2022, he released his fourth studio album, The Last Slimeto, which marked his final project with Atlantic Records.

Despite his success, Gaulden’s career has been marked by a long history of legal issues that began in 2016, and has released multiple projects during his incarcerations.
