T.I Says ‘Opp’ Didn’t Come From Rap, It Came From Call Of Duty
T.I Says The Term ‘Opp’ Originated From Video Game ‘Call Of Duty’
The term and slang “Opps” was popularized in Chicago by Chicago drill rappers.
It has been used by G Herbo, Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Vince Staples, Meek Mill, 6ix9ine, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby and many more rappers.
According to urban dictionary, “Opp is anyone in competition or against you. Mainly used and originated in chicago.” However, rapper T.I doesn’t seem to agree with that.

In a new interview making rounds online, T.I claims the term ‘Opp’ didn’t come from rap but that it came from popular video game ‘Call Of Duty’.
The video has since gone viral garnering mixed reactions from folks online. “Chicago started it mane that shit just go along with it,” someone commented. “Nigga just don’t wanna give Chicago its props,” another user wrote.
“He’s bugging, nigga thinking of black ops or special ops which stands for operation nice try,” added someone else.
T.I’s son King was recently arrested alongside Boosie Badazz’s son. In reaction, T.I said if King keeps doing what he’s doing that he’s going to end up in prison. “I know that energy… I was that energy,” he said.
