T.I. Reacts To Claims He Punched Drew Taggart Of The Chainsmokers In The Face For Kissing Him

Rapper T.I. has responded to claims he punched Chainsmokers singer Andrew Taggart in the face after the singer kissed him on the cheek.

Drew said when meeting T.I. at a party, he kissed the rapper on the cheek out of excitement, but T.I. didn’t appreciate it and punched him.

“T.I. just literally punched me in the face,” Taggart said in a clip posted on TikTok yesterday (August 16) that shows the duo performing at a nightclub alongside T.I. and others. “We’re in a vibe and I, like, gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was totally my fault,” while Taggart’s Chainsmokers bandmate Alex Pall can be heard laughing in the background.

“He was like, ‘Don’t do that.’ And I was like, ‘OK.’ He pushed me off and I was like, ‘Alright, my bad,’” he said, with Pall adding that a member of T.I.’s crew approached him and said, “You need to get your boy.”

“First of all, I love The Chainsmokers, let’s just get that straight,” he said. “I have nothing negative to say. We just had to work through some stuff, you know what I mean? And we worked through it. We got to a much better place. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Good guys. I won’t go into too much detail, but I love The Chainsmokers, man, they make great music.”

“The way y’all keep saying I punched someone. Like, that’s not, y’all stop it, you know? ‘Cuz we had a minor kerfuffle, you know what I’m sayin’. C’mon, man, it’s nothing.”

He continued, “It was just like a muthaf-cka stepped over the line and you like, ‘Hey, man, you stepped over that line bad, bet?’ And then he stepped back over the line the proper way and everybody continued on with their evening. That was it. Wasn’t nothing major.”
