Josh Duggar Sentenced To More Than 12 Years In Prison for Child Pornography
’19 Kids & Counting’ Star Josh Duggar Sentenced To 151 Months In Prison For Child Pornography Conviction
Former reality television star Josh Duggar has been sentenced to 151 months in prison — more than 12 years.
Duggar, who was convicted in December on federal charges of receiving and possessing child pornography, had faced up to 20 years.
Prosecutors had sought a maximum sentence for Duggar, whose large family focused on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” reality show. Prosecutors argued in a pre-sentencing court filing that Duggar has a “deep-seated, pervasive and violent sexual interest in children.”

Duggar remained stoic when the news was delivered, continuing to take notes on a legal pad for future legal proceedings. He did not address the court during sentencing.
Duggar’s lead defense attorney Justin Gelfand stated his legal team would be filing a notice of appeal within the 14 days required by law and looked forward to litigating the one remaining count on appeal. They stated earlier in the day that Duggar maintains his innocence.
TLC canceled “19 Kids and Counting” in 2015 following allegations that Duggar had molested four of his sisters and a babysitter years earlier.
Josh Duggar will leave behind seven children along with his wife while he serves his time in an Arkansas prison.
