Future Addresses His ‘Toxic’ Reputation: “These Women All Were Toxic To Me”

Future really opened up in his latest interview with @gq magazine. While discussing his new album and his relationships with Kanye West and Drake he also addressed the ‘toxic’ reputation that he has.

As we know Future has dated a few women in the industry and he is often used as a famous meme when it comes to sending toxic text messages to your ex, it seems the Atlanta rapper is not concerned with the label that has been put on him.

During his interview, when being asked about his toxic reputation the ‘Dirty Sprite’rapper shared, “people have their own definition of what toxic is,” he says. “[These women] all were toxic to me. They just don’t want to admit it.”

Future has been in headlines today for all the comments that he has made on the rap game because he barely does interviews so it’s not often you get his opinion on a lot of things. GQ titled the magazine “Best Rapper Alive” which also sparked a major debate.

But at the age of 38-years-old, Future still has the game in a chokehold when it comes to music, and fashion, showing off his designer drip in looks from Dior, Saint Laurent, and Valentino.

“ That’s because I’m happy,” Future says when asked about his longest hiatus to date. “I’m genuinely happy with life. And there was a time where I was only happy when I was on the stage, and in the studio. Like it was my escape.”

With his first album in two years, he’s giving fans a glance into his world. “Sharing my lifestyle with the world. Sharing my pain with the world. Sharing my ups, sharing my downs with the entire universe,” says Future. “Putting this project together is just people understanding that I love hard. Probably love the hardest. I wanted to showcase my skills as far as melodies and topics and being vulnerable.”
