Shannon Sharpe Defends Dr. Dre for Refusing to Help His Homeless Daughter

Late Wednesday evening, Shannon Sharpe decided to weigh in on the latest trending news — Dr. Dre’s eldest daughter revealing that she is homeless.

As we previously reported, the 38-year-old woman and single mother of four recently gave an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, in which she revealed that she hasn’t received any financial support from her father since January 2020. LaTanya Young believes that he became distant and stopped her rent payments/ allowance because she previously spoke about him to the press, and also commended his estranged wife Nicole Young for securing a monthly spousal support payment from him.

The Undisputed co-host retweeted an article about LaTanya Young. Along with it, he wrote, “A 38yr old grown woman trying to shame her father into taking care of responsibilities she created.” Some people were quick to criticize Sharpe but he didn’t back down. One Twitter user said to him, “My child could be 40 years old and I’d never allow them to live in a car. I’d never allow my grandchildren to live with my child’s ‘friends.’ Knowing how hard it is out here.” Sharpe then replied, “That’s you, but you can’t be upset with Dre. She said assistance stopped in 2020, did you ask yourself, why?”

Dr. Dre has yet to speak out on these latest claims of neglecting his daughter. This latest drama comes shortly after he took a big L in his divorce battle with Young, who was granted spousal support.
