Twitter Slams Lil Wayne For Reportedly Selling Drake & Nicki Minaj’s Masters

There are news swirling around for some weeks now that Lil Wayne sold his masters to Universal Music Group for $100M. And many people were surprised that the veteran didn’t request for more money.

A report from Music Business Worldwide has it that the reason why he settled for $100 million is actually quite clear.

New report from Ron Sweeney’s lawsuit clarifies that Lil Wayne was able to sell the entire Young Money catalog not his own which includes songs and albums from Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and more, in the $100 million deal.

The specifics of the deal remain very unclear, and with Drake and Nicki both claiming that they own their masters on multiple occasions, it’s not definite how this will affect them.

However, fans are going off on Lil Wayne for this business move, using social media as a means to completely obliterate the rapper.

Folks on Twitter are not taking the report lightly with Wayne. They’ve been dragging the rapper online ever since. “Fucking with Trump got Lil Wayne selling Drake and Nicki’s masters,” a Twitter user wrote.
