Snoop Dogg Says He Wasn’t Threatening Gayle King

Gayle King received tonnes of backlash over her statements about Kobe Bryant during an interview with Lisa Leslie where King asked the basketball star if Kobe Bryant’s 2003 rape trial taints his legacy.

Snoop Dogg was among those who bashed Gayle and Oprah for supposedly targeting Black Men and tainting their reputations.

“Funky dog head bitch! How dare you try to tarnish my muthafuckin’ homeboy’s reputation, punk muthafucka? Respect the family and back off, bitch, before we come get you,” Snoop Dogg said in a PSA.

And yesterday, he was called out by Susan Rice for threatening Gayle. “This is despicable. Gayle King is one of the most principled, fair and tough journalists alive. Snoop, back the **** off. You come for @GayleKing, you come against an army. You will lose, and it won’t be pretty,” she tweeted.

Well, it appears Snoop got the message because few hours ago he shared another PSA where he seems to be backtracking on his words.

“I didn’t threaten [Gayle]. All I did was said … you out of pocket for what you’re doing and we’re watching you.” He also asked Gayle, and other Kobe detractors to “think about Vanessa and the babies,” he said.
