Nicki Minaj Accuses Joe Budden Of Tearing Down Defenseless Women

Nicki Minaj was on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio for the latest episode of Queen Radio, which arrives a couple of days after the one-year anniversary of her Queen album release date.
For the show, she had Joe Budden and his podcast co-hosts, Mal and Rory, appear as guests.

The purpose was, in Budden’s words, to make peace with the Barbz. This conversation ended with Nicki airing out some grievances with the rapper-turned-media personality.
According to XXL.. Nicki Minaj accused Budden of calling her a liar, citing Budden’s recent podcast episode as well as an episode from Budden’s tenure on Complex’s Everyday Struggle to help make her point.
Nicki also said Budden said she had to have already recorded “Hot Girl Summer” with Megan Thee Stallion before the two rappers jumped on Instagram Live together. Nicki insisted that this isn’t the case.
“I went on Live to discuss the Megatron winners, and when I was on there I saw a lot of people telling me to go on with Megan,” Nicki explained. “She basically hinted at the fact she wanted me on the song. […] When we got off the Live I spoke with [Megan’s team].”
She also says Budden claimed she was on drugs. “It’s okay for you to make me sound crazy and say I’m on drugs, right?” Nicki says at one point during her argument with Budden. “That was okay too, right?”

When it got to the matter of Budden’s Everyday Struggle comments, which suggest that he thought Nicki was lying about knowing Cardi B was on the song before it came out, Nicki began yelling at the New Jersey personality. “You like tearing down women when they can’t defend themselves,” she said at one point.

The Joe Budden podcast’s Mal and Rory, who were guests along with Budden, remained on the show despite Budden being kicked off. Budden quickly took to Twitter after the dispute to comment on it being a “spicy” tirade – something he said he ultimately revels in.
