A$ap Ferg Claims His Verse On “New Freezer” Was Removed

A$ap Ferg revealed in a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid that he was originally on Rich The Kid’s 2007 hit song “New Freezer” and that Kendrick Lamar had his verse removed.
Rich The Kid earned a double-platinum plaque for the 2017 single “New Freezer” off his debut album The World Is Yours.

The song’s success was due in part to the viral #NewFreezerChallenge as well as a standout feature from Kendrick Lamar.

According to A$ap Ferguson “I did ‘New Freezer.’ That was my song. Ben came through, and we did that song together with me, Rich the Kid, and… MadeinTYO,” Ferg told Whoo Kid.
“This n*gga wind up playing it for f*ckin’, I think Jaden Smith, Kendrick Lamar, all these other n*ggas. And Kendrick was like, ‘Yo, I’ll get on it as long as everybody come off of it.”

He revealed that he is not bothered about his verse being cut off  “I’m like, ‘Cool, as long as the little homie get on.’ You know what I’m sayin’? He’s from the hood. But to see what ‘New Freezer’ did, and it took him to a whole other level.

“He got a pub deal, got an artist deal, a label deal, living in a L.A. house, everything… off a song and just being around,” He added.
