Pennsylvania Woman Accused Of Fatally Poisoning Her Boyfriend’s 18-Months-Old Daughter By Feeding Her Batteries, Screws & Nail Polish Remover

A Pennsylvania woman is in some serious trouble after being accused of fatally poisoning her boyfriend’s baby by doing the unthinkable… feeding her batteries and other toxic stuff.

According to NY Post, this sick woman Aleisia Owens, 20, was arrested Thursday after an autopsy revealed that the baby died due to fatal levels of acetone in her blood.

Along with batteries, Aleisia also fed the baby screws and nail polish remover. Alesia was living with her boyfriend, Bailey Jacoby, and when he went to the store on June 25, 2023, he left his baby with her. It’s important to note that the child lived with her mother, Emily Alfera, while Jacoby had visitation rights.

When Jacob was at the store he ended up receiving a call from Alesia that something was wrong with his baby girl. Bailey rushed home and found his daughter unresponsive and immediately called 911. Sadly, the baby died four days later due to organ failure.

Aleisia told the authorities that the baby girl had hit her head after failing off of the bed. She said the baby “cramped up”

However, the autopsy showed that the baby girl had ingested numerous “water beads,” along with button-shaped batteries and a metal screw, months before she died, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

A search of Alesia’s phone revealed she had been looking up “information on household products that could cause a child serious harm or death.

Alesia was hit with a homicide charge, and attempted homicide, aggravated assault of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, and “other offenses regarding conduct leading to the baby’s death and other acts of abuse in months prior.”
