Jonathan Majors Has Been Fired By Marvel After Assault Guilty Verdict

Disney wasted no time giving Jonathan Majors the boot! Following his guilty verdict today, A studio rep confirmed the news about the decision not to move forward with Majors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Majors played supervillain “Kang” it’s unclear if Marvel plans to keep the character who Majors debuted as during Loki season one in 2021. Majors was shaping up to have a good 2023 before his assault case.

According to Deadline, “Prior to Ant-Man 3 and Creed III, Majors won rave reviews for the Sundance drama Magazine Dreams in which he played a disturbed amateur bodybuilder.

The movie was snapped up Searchlight for a Dec. 8 theatrical release and awards season run, however, was pulled from the theatrical schedule by the Disney-owned label in October.”

As we reported earlier, Majors was found guilty of assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment. He was found NOT guilty of one of the counts in assault in the third degree and NOT guilty of aggravated harassment in second degree.

So, he was convicted of 2/4 charges against him. His sentencing will be held Feb. 6th.
