A Youth Pastor In South Carolina Charged For Filming Women & Girls Using The Restroom

Just when I thought I’ve seen it all. A youth pastor in upstate South Carolina was arrested and charged for the unbelievable.

The Youth Pastor was charged after allegedly filming multiple women and girls as young as 14 while they showered or used the restroom, including while at church.

Daniel Kellan Mayfield, 35, who served as youth pastor at Gowensville Baptist Church in Landrum since 2016, was arrested in Boiling Springs.

He was also charged last week with five counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of voyeurism, according to local WCSC.

The news has since gone viral on social media, garnering lots of reactions from folks online. “Who’s doing background checks on these pastors?” someone queried.

“It’s  America it won’t shock us when he says he is a woman now,” another person commented.

“That’s where you need to be looking for these dudes. In religious communities and institutions,” someone else added.
