Ja Morant Unfollows Davonte Pack Childhood Friend From Controversial IG Live Gun Video

We previously reported that NBA commissioner Adam Silver, announced that a decision regarding Ja Morant has been reached but that the league will not announce the punishment for the Memphis Grizzlies star until after the NBA Finals.

“In terms of the timing, we’ve uncovered a fair amount of additional information since I was asked about the situation,” Adam told reporters.

Ja Morant has been suspended twice for brandishing a firearm on social media. Silver indicated they may be seeking to help the young baller.

Unfortunately, Ja Morant’s friendship with Davonte Pack may be on slippery ground. The Memphis Grizzlies superstar reportedly unfollowed his childhood friend on all social media accounts after the incident took place.

He was previously suspended for eight games and already lost 1.5 million dollars of his 2022/23 salary due to conduct detrimental to the league.

That incident may have indirectly cost him much more, as he missed out on the opportunity to earn an additional 39m dollars over the next five seasons by not being named to the All-NBA first team, nor to the second or third teams either.

“He has expressed sincere contrition and remorse for his behavior. Ja has also made it clear to me that he has learned from this incident and that he understands his obligations and responsibility to the Memphis Grizzlies and the broader NBA community extend well beyond his play on the court,” Adam added.
