LeBron James Considering Retirement From The NBA After Being Swept By Nuggets In Western Conference Finals

The top-seeded Nuggets swept the seventh-seeded Lakers with a 113-111 victory in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals Monday and made franchise history.

Unfortunately, an all-time playoff performance from LeBron James could not extend the Los Angeles Lakers season.

LeBron James had 40 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, including a playoff career-high for points in a half (31), but that wasn’t enough against the relentless ‒ and better ‒ Denver Nuggets.

In a post game interview, LeBron James reveals he’s considering retirement after the loss to Nuggets in Western Conference Finals. The clip has since gone viral on social media, garnering mixed reactions from folks online.

“He such a cry baby omg if he not being worshipped he ready to pass away,” someone jokingly commented. “He put up 40 by himself. He did his part. Y’all just hate him,” another person wrote.

Behind James 31 first-half points, the Lakers owned a 73-58 halftime lead. In the third quarter, the Nuggets outscored the Lakers 36-16. Jokic had 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in the quarter.

It is the first time the Nuggets have advanced to the NBA Finals, and it was the first sweep for the franchise. They reached the conference finals five previous times (2020, 2009, 1985, 1978) losing to the Lakers four times.
