Billionaire Robert Hale Gives Away Millions As He Hands $1,000 In Cash To Each Graduate At Their Ceremony

Billionaire Robert Hale gives away millions by handing out $1,000 in cash divided in two envelopes to each student at their graduation ceremony.

The graduation ceremony is definitely the most important day in every student’s life, as it’s the day where you get to celebrate all your hard work.

And that’s why Robert Hale, CEO of Granite Telecommunications, decided to give 2,523 UMass graduates all $1,000 each.

Hale founded Granite in 2002, less than six months after his previous company, Network Plus, filed for bankruptcy.

The company provides voice, data and other communications services to businesses and governmental agencies in the U.S. and Canada.

Granite generated over $1.6 billion in sales in 2021; the company says more than two thirds of the largest 100 U.S. companies are clients.

Hale has personally donated over $280 million towards cancer research, educational institutions and other charitable causes.
