In October 2015, Yo Gotti let it be known that he had his eyes on Angela Simmons with his track “Down in the DM,” in which he stated he had a crush on her. Following the success of the song, many fans wondered if Gotti and Simmons were dating.

However, all speculation came to a halt when she announced her engagement to Sutton Tennyson in April 2016.

Gotti then opened up about losing her to another man in his 2017 track “Save It for Me,” where he pondered if mentioning her in his hit song pressured her guy to move faster. Last September, the internet went into a frenzy after seeing that Gotti popped out to celebrate Simmons’ 35th birthday.

Angela Simmons and Gotti confirmed their relationship with a romantic photoshoot hard launch on Instagram.

Since making their debut as a couple, they have shared tidbits about their union on social media. More recently, Simmons declared that she has “the best man in the world.”

Tennyson and Simmons called it quits in December 2017, just a year after welcoming their son Sutton Joseph. Simmons kept a relatively low profile for years after the incident.
