El DeBarge Arrested For Drug & Weapon Possession

R&B singer El DeBarge has allegedly been arrested for drug and weapon possession.

TMZ reports that he was questioned by police Sunday at a Burbank gas station for expired tags.

While they were questioning him, the found a metal baton inside his vehicle and decided to do a full search of his vehicle, where they found illegal substances.

The singer was arrested and booked on several charges, including possession of a leaded cane or baton, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At the time of his arrest, police officers believed the powdery substance to have been heroin.

DeBarge posted $25,000 bond and is due back in court in March.

El DeBarge has faced many legal troubles over the years. His rap sheet includes cocaine possession, domestic violence, and even a term in back in 2009. He has struggled with addiction throughout his career. Fans are praying for him to get help.
