Texas Schools Are Asking If Parents Would Like Their Child’s DNA Stored For Easier ID In Event Of A Massacre

According to the Daily Mail, school districts throughout Texas have started handing out DNA kits to families that could help identify their kids in case of a school shooting.

Five months later, 19 students were killed inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

The kits are optional and are being handed to K-8 students to take home with them and be held onto by their parents in case of an emergency.

To help identify victims in a school shooting, missing children, or trafficked children. Parents can now assist law enforcement to easily identify their child with a DNA sample.

Kenneth S. Trump, a national school security consultant, made the following statement,

‘On one hand, I see the value in saying, “Here’s a tool you can have in case of potential threats.”

“But I think we need to be very cautious about crossing the line of do no harm to the point where we are creating more anxiety.”
