Jeffrey Dahmer’s Eyeglasses That The Serial Killer Wore In Prison Now Put Up For Sale For $150,000

Jeffrey Dahmer had a foreboding look, partly because of his eyewear … and now the shades he wore in prison are up for sale, and they’ll go for more than anything at LensCrafters.

Taylor James, who runs Cult Collectibles out of Vancouver, Canada, tells … he’s willing to part with the serial killer’s prison glasses for $150,000.

Dahmer was convicted of 16 murders and sentenced to life in prison back in 1992, but he only lasted a few years behind bars before being beaten to death at the hands of a fellow inmate Taylor says he got his hands on the shades a couple years ago, along with a bunch of other Dahmer memorabilia, after being contacted by a former housekeeper for Jeffrey’s father, Lionel. Taylor agreed to manage and sell the collection through his website for a portion of the profit.

Netflix’s drama about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer has attracted huge viewing figures but also criticism from people who say it’s insensitive. The sister of one of his victims has described Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story as “harsh and careless”.

Rita Isbell, whose brother Errol Lindsey was 19 when he was killed, gave an emotional victim impact statement in court in 1992, but said she was not informed it would be recreated in Ryan Murphy’s 10-part series.

She told Insider: “When I saw some of the show, it bothered me, especially when I saw myself – when I saw my name come across the screen and this lady saying verbatim exactly what I said.”

She said Netflix should have given some of the money from the show to the victims’ children and grandchildren. “If the show benefited them in some way, it wouldn’t feel so harsh and careless. It’s sad that they’re just making money off of this tragedy. That’s just greed.”
