Well, her defense team is denying that she has a reckless driving history, but claim her mental history shows that there has been a struggle.

According to the Los Angeles Times, she reportedly tried to hurt herself and was previously committed involuntarily at a psychiatric facility on multiple occasions. Per the report, those prior incidents include the defendant jumping on police cars to jumping out of apartment windows,” Vannoy wrote.

“The defense indicates [Linton] has been subject to involuntary commitments on several occasions and has hurt herself more than once.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities said they haven’t found any evidence that Linton was under the influence of alcohol. However, prosecutors did find that Linton was in 13 prior crashes. Linton’s lawyers denied reports that she had previously been involved in 13 crashes. Her next hearing is August 31st.

They believe that her history of being involved in dangerous crashes, proves she knew exactly what she was doing when driving 90mph before killing 5 people and an 8 1/2 month old fetus.
