Alabama Prison Accused Of Torture After 9 Minutes Execution Took 3 Hours, Against The Wishes Of Victim’s Family
An Alabama inmate was executed against the wishes of the victim’s family! But that’s not even the shocking part.
The prison is now being accused of foul play because the execution which should have taken 9 minutes to complete, lasted 3 hours.
According to Yahoo News, “Joe Nathan James Jr, who was convicted for murdering his former girlfriend in 1994 and executed last month, suffered a prolonged death during his capital punishment.”

Why did the execution take so long? Per the report, “Authorities at Alabama’s prison system said that the procedure to execute James took longer because the execution team handling his punishment took time to establish an intravenous access to administer multidrug cocktails.”
“The execution team allegedly attempted to insert IV catheters into both his hands, right above the knuckles, which caused his skin to turn violet due to bruising.” At no time did James open his eyes or make any movement during the 3 hours. When asked for final words, James remained silent.
James dated his ex-girlfriend in the early 90s and threatened to kill her and her ex-husband after they broke up. After multiple stalking incidents, James followed the ex-girlfriend to a friends house in 1994. He shot her three times.
The family of the deceased say his death has caused them to relive the hurt of losing her.
