Pope Francis Supports Supreme Court Overturn Of Roe V. Wade, Believes Life Begins At Conception

After over 43 years, the ruling of Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, allowing the courts to do the same with other previous rulings

It appears Pope Francis is strongly in support of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

He feels so strongly about it he compares having an abortion to “hiring a hitman to solve a problem.” The Pope is standing strong on the position of the Catholic Church that life begins at conception.

According to reports, same-sex marriages are also in danger of being overturned.

After the ruling, the liberal justices wrote, “Either the mass of the majority’s opinion is hypocrisy, or additional constitutional rights are under threat. It is one or the other.”

The court, in a 6-3 ruling powered by its conservative majority, upheld a Republican-backed Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks.

The vote was 5-4 to overturn Roe, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing separately to say he would have upheld the Mississippi law but not taken the additional step of erasing the precedent altogether.
