Georgia Woman Says Her Daughter Got Paralyzed After Visiting The Chiropractor

The family of a Georgia woman is speaking out after they say a chiropractor left the young lady paralyzed, WSBTV reports.

Caitlin Jensen, 28, visited a chiropractor for an adjustment to her neck. Family members say Jensen was fine before her appointment but shortly afterward got a call that she was being rushed to the hospital.

“The chiropractor called 911 and then called me and told me that she was ‘having a reaction to the treatment,’” Darlene Jensen, Caitlin’s mother told Channel 2 Action News.

Caitlin is now in the ICU after suffering four dissected arteries in her neck which led to cardiac arrest and traumatic brain injury reports state.

According to Caitlin’s mother, doctors informed her that the injuries were a direct result of the neck adjustments.

“The surgeon that performed the surgery on her that saved her life, and every other doctor that has looked at her, have all agreed that this happened as a direct result of the neck manipulation,” she said.

The chiropractor hasn’t taken any request for comment but did cite the HIPAA privacy laws.
