Highland Park Illinois Mass Shooter Has Been Charged With 7 Counts Of First Degree Murder

4th of July turned tragic following a fatal mass shooting that took place yesterday in Highland Park, IL that claimed the lives of 6 people and injured 31.

Investigators say that the suspected shooter, Robert Crimo III, had planned the shooting for weeks and used women’s clothing to escape the scene.

According to new reports reaching us at Dreddsworld, the shooter Robert ‘Bobby’ Crimo III has now been charged with 7 counts of first degree murder.

“The man accused of attacking a July 4 parade in Highland Park, Illinois, has been charged with seven counts of first-degree murder, a prosecutor says. Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart promised that dozens more charges would be sought,” The Associated Press wrote in a tweet.

Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli told a news conference that Crimos purchased heavy artillery guns legally a few weeks prior to the incident.

He fired more than 70 rounds while on the rooftop of a commercial business, which he gained access to through the fire escape. Once he carried out the shooting, he was able to escape in women’s clothing to blend in with the crowd and hide his facial tattoos.

From the parade, he walked to his mother’s house, who lived near by, and was able to drive away before police eventually caught him.

The motive for the attack is still not known by investigators, but Crimos has made very concerning social media posts over the years, and is an active Trump supporter.
