Diddy Addresses Break Up With Cassie 4-Years After On 'Gotta Move On'

Diddy Addresses Break Up With Cassie 4-Years After On ‘Gotta Move On’

Sean “Diddy” Combs reveals he’s moving on four years after split from ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

The music and business mogul made his return with a new single called “Gotta Move On” on Friday (June 17), and he’s seemingly addressing his split from longtime girlfriend Cassie.

The track is his first single in six years, featuring Bryson Tiller, and addresses Cassie moving on and getting married to Alex Fine.
“You found a new man, so I gotta move on / Guess you got a new agenda, with someone you barely know / I won’t, say you’re wrong / Guess you had to move on,” he declares.

Diddy and Cassie broke up in 2018 after about a decade of dating, and Cassie went on to marry trainer Alex Fine, who at one point was hired to train Cassie while she was dating Diddy. They now have two daughters together.

Diddy appeared to move on past the breakup. When Cassie and Alex announced they were pregnant for the first time, Diddy posted a message where he “wish[ed] you all nothing but love and happiness.”

Plus, Diddy hasn’t locked his heart away in the four years since parting with Cassie. On June 9, he joined City Girls rapper Yung Miami, 28, for an episode of her Caresha Please podcast. During the show, the two talked about their budding relationship.

We’re dating. We go have dates. We’re friends,” he said. “We go to exotic locations. We have great times.” When detailing what he likes best about Yung Miami, Diddy said she’s “like one of the realest people I’ve ever met, and you’re authentically yourself. You’re a great mother and a great friend. We just have a good time.”
