Uvalde, Texas Elementary School Shooter’s Father Says He’s Sorry For What His Son Did

The father of the Texas gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School on Tuesday apologized for his 18-year-old son and said the teen should have killed him instead.

He added that he doesn’t know when his son became so violent, but knows that his son grew frustrated with the COVID precautions about a month ago and refused to speak to him.

His father said he has not seen him since.

The mother of the Texas shooter has spoken out and says her son was not a violent person. Adriana Reyes says she was surprised to hear the news of the deadly attack.

Reyes says her 18-year-old son, Salvador Ramos, often kept to himself but they weren’t on bad terms. He was shot dead after a shooting left 19 children and two teachers dead and his grandmother in hospital.

Salvador was described by his former classmates as a failed and lonely student who was bullied for being poor and wearing eyeliner.

When referring to him, he was seen as an ’emo’. In addition, his speech problems made him a target of ridicule, according to the Washington Post.
