Dwayne Wade Says He Used To Wear His Sisters Clothes & Doing What They Did

Dwayne Wade‘s transgender daughter Zaya Wade made headlines last week after pictures of the teenager and her new boyfriend surfaced online.

In one of the pictures which quickly went viral on social media, Zaya can be seen kissing her new transgender boyfriend, Hudson aka Huaze Leo.

Zaya however received lots of support from folks on Twitter. In a new video making rounds online, Dwayne Wade confessed he shares same traits as Zaya when he was a kid, revealing that he used to wear heels and his sisters clothes.

“As kids, I used to put on heels.. I used to do all those things.. I’ve tried. I tried to put on whatever my sisters wearing,” Dwayne said. “What all my sisters did, I tried to do those things, so at first I said to myself, Oh no, I did that so I’m just doing the things that I did.”

Couple of years back, Dwyane Wade announced that Zion was transitioning from a male to female and will now be addressed as Zaya.

Dwayne, who shares Zaya with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, explained how he and his new wife Gabrielle Union had to educate themselves about the LGBTQ community and said they are ‘proud parents and allies’ of the child.

Dwayne told the NBC chat show host: ‘First of all, me and my wife Gabrielle, we are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community and we are proud allies as well.”
