Woman Undergoes Multiple Surgeries After Cousin’s Pitbull Bites Off Her Top Lip During Attack

An aspiring model has shared her story about how a pitbull attack caused her upper lip to be ripped off.

Brooklinn Khoury described the moment when her cousin’s pit bull attacked her suddenly and she said the dog was hanging off her mouth.

She thought the injury was minor until she took a look in the mirror and saw the extent of her injury after the attack.

“You could see the fear in my eye, like ‘Oh my god, that’s what I look like. How do you fix this? How do you fix this?’ I didn’t realize he had taken off my whole lip,” she explained to Inside Edition.

The 22-year-old woman underwent multiple reconstructive surgeries to fix her lip. One of the procedures required doctors to take the skin and nerves from her arm in order to create a new lip.

Khoury also documents her plastic surgery journey on social media and Youtube where she shares the ups and downs.

She says she still loves dogs despite the attack and added that she learned to love herself after coming to terms with the attack.
