‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Jay Jay Phillips Passes Away From COVID-19
‘America’s Got Talent’ star Jay Jay Phillips passed away at the age of 30 after battling COVID-19.
The contestant’s family members explained that he was dealing with complications of the virus during the Thanksgiving holiday and told him to check into a hospital.
However, Phillips said he was going to sleep it off instead but tragedy struck when his girlfriend and his mother found him dead in his home on Thanksgiving. He was unvaccinated but he planned to get the jab before becoming seriously ill.
According to the New York Post, Phillips was living with his father who is currently in the hospital and on a ventilator.
Phillips first appeared on the fourth season of ‘AGT’ but was eliminated early in the competition.
Later on, he appeared in the 12th season but was eliminated shortly before the quarterfinals.
