Porsha Williams Recounts ‘Abusive Encounter’ With R. Kelly In 2007

Porsha Williams is opening up for the first time about her jaw dropping experience with R. Kelly, who was convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering back in September.

The reality star tells PEOPLE that after meeting a friend of the R&B singer in 2007 when her 25-year-old self was considering a career in music, she was flown to Chicago to meet Kelly and potentially work with him.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star says she expected to be driven to a recording studio when she arrived but was taken to Kelly’s home instead.

Porsha says someone led her to his bedroom once they got inside and left her alone there for hours. Allegedly when Kelly finally joined her, she said he told her to take off her clothes. “I’ve already put myself in this position” Porsha said about the situation.

Reportedly, Porsha details the encounter further in her new memoir The Pursuit of Porsha, available Nov. 30. “This is what you’re supposed to do. You have to. There is no turning back.”

The reality star gave the publication no further details about the alleged encounter but she did reveal she shared her own experience with authorities.
