Rory & Mal Sign $10M Deal With Stitcher After Being Fired By Joe Budden
Rory & Mal Bag $10M Deal With Stitcher After Being Fired From ‘The Joe Budden’ Podcast
Earlier this year, Joe Budden fired his co-hosts Rory and Mal on the popular ‘The Joe Budden Podcast’ and made some degrading comments about Rory.
“Rory feels like he has so many options here, somehow he still feels like he’s running the show [and] he still feels like he has choices and options,” Joe said at the time.
Budden continued, “He feels like he’s entitled to more. Rory, you are in breach of your contract. And from this point forward, you are fired and you are not welcome back.”
Rory and Mal later flipped their misfortune into a fortune by taking their chemistry to form their own podcast. Back in May, fans received a taste of what a Rory & Mal podcast can look like after they released an hour-plus long response to Joe Budden.

Just in time, Rory and Mal have reportedly signed a $10 million deal with Stitcher just months after being fired by Joe Budden.
It was rumored that he threatened to sue them if they started another podcast. However, in a recent interview with Vulture, they said they weren’t worried about any lawsuits from Joe.
“Yeah no, it’s not an issue for us. That’s something you would probably have to ask him, but it would be very funny — and a lot would be exposed — if he decided to do that,” said Mal.
“That’s not a route he would want to go. I can assure you that,’ Rory added.
