Pop Smoke’s Murder Suspect Says He Wanted Alleged Shooter To Smash A Vase Over His Head, Not Shoot

Pop Smoke’s Murder Suspect Says He Did Not Personally Kill The Victim

Pop Smoke was killed back in February 2020 at the rise of his career during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills. One of the men that is associated with the attack on the 20 year old is speaking out about how upset he was with the 15-year-old alleged triggerman.

Pop’s murder suspect Corey Walker appeared in court Friday (October 15) with his defense lawyer Christopher Darden and filed a motion for his murder and robbery charges to be dismissed.

Darden is arguing his client Walker, “specifically voiced his opposition to any violence before Pop Smoke was fatally shot.” The court filing states, “It is clear from the evidence that [Walker] did not enter the house, was not armed, and did not personally kill the victim. Moreover, the evidence is clear that the defendant did not share the actual killer’s intent to kill.”

Walker says he wanted the alleged shooter to only smash a vase over Pop Smoke’s head. Darden is expressing that there is no evidence that his client entered Smoke’s rented home with a weapon and also states how vocal Walker has been with expressing he wasn’t the shooter.

According to the suspects, they had no intentions for the robbery to go that far. Suspects claim they only wanted jewelry.

The robbers were desperate to get Pop Smoke’s iced out watch and cuban link chain, but they were only about to get the watch which they later sold for about $2,000.
