Veterinarian Sentenced To Serve 22 Years For Sexually Assaulting Animals

A Florida veterinarian Prentiss Madden has been sentenced to serve 22 years for sexually assaulting animals while recording the depraved acts then uploading videos online.

Prentiss Madden worked as medical director at the Caring Hands Aminal Hospital in the Aventura section of Miami who pleaded guilty back in July on charges of child pornography and bestiality.

Before his arrest, Madden recorded himself having sex with dogs and sharing the videos on various chat rooms. Additionally, his DropBox folder contained child pornography content.

According to the Miami Herald, Madden revealed during Friday’s sentencing that he was sexually abused as a child and watched his mother being physically abused by his stepfather.

“This is never who I planned to be or thought I would be. It does not represent who I am as a person,” he said to U.S. District Judge Jose Martinez.

This was the first case in South Florida that someone has been charged under the law that prohibits individuals recording animals for the sexual gratification of its viewers.

After his arrest in March, the Caring Hands Aminal Hospital removed his profile from the website.
