Rose McGowan Calls Out Oprah Winfrey: ‘She Is As Fake As They Come’

Rose McGowan is not the type to hold back her words. She’s known for fearlessly speaking her mind without adding filters, and most recently Oprah was her target.

McGowan thinks that Oprah faked her support of the #MeToo movement over backlash for being friends with Harvey Weinstein.

“I am glad more are seeing the ugly truth of @Oprah,” the star tweeted next to an image of Oprah and Harvey. “I wish she were real, but she isn’t. From being pals with Weinstein to abandoning & destroying Russell Simmon’s [sic] victims.”

Rose continued, “She is about supporting a sick power structure for personal gain, she is as fake as they come. #lizard.”

Oprah Winfrey stepped down as executive producer of Simmons’ #MeToo documentary last year.

“There is more work to be done on the film to illuminate the full scope of what the victims endured, and it has become clear that the filmmakers and I are not aligned in that creative vision,” Oprah said at the time.

Oprah has on multiple occasions denied having any knowledge of Weinstein’s behavior and actions.
