Caitlyn Jenner Receives Only 1 Percent of Vote In California Recall Election

Back in April, Caitlyn Jenner revealed that she has submitted the necessary paperwork and will officially be running as a Republican for the governor of California.

“I’m in!” she declared at the time. “California is worth fighting for “#RecallNewsom”, Caitlyn tweeted.

Caitlyn shared a press release that fully explained her decision to run for governor of California. “California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” she writes in her lengthy press release.

However, things didn’t quite go as planned for her. Caitlyn Jenner lost the recall vote for California governor and only managed to get 1% of the vote.

In a speech, Caitlyn then blamed Californians for not voting for her. She says California Gov. Gavin News “didn’t campaign on not one of his successes, because he doesn’t have any.”

She continued, “I can’t believe that this many people actually voted to keep him in office,” Jenner said. “It’s a shame, honestly, it’s a shame. You kind of get the government you deserve.”

While running for governor, Caitlyn said wildfires were one of her priorities. She also promised to cancel ‘cancel culture’ once and for all.
