50 Cent Receives Criticism For Insensitive Post & Delete Tribute To Michael K. Williams

As we reported earlier, The Wire actor Michael K. Williams was found dead of a alleged drug overdose in his Brooklyn apartment.

Tributes have since been flying on social media for the deceased actor. However, amongst many of the heart melting posts, 50 Cent‘s own was quite different.

The Power executive producer brought up his old feud with Michael K. Williams in his insensitive tribute and he’s currently catching heat over it. He shared a post made by the New York Post with a caption that reads:

“Damn if you didn’t see Raising Kanan check it out,” Fif wrote on Instagram.“That fentanyl is no joke, killing the clientele. RIP michael k. williams.”

Fans called out the rapper for using Michael’s death to promote his company. 50 Cent then deleted the post and then put up another post, which still received backlash.

The second post had a screenshot of a 2018 article about 50’s Instagram feud with Michael. He captioned that post, “don’t ever try to understand me i’m different. I don’t do all the fake love sh-t.”

“You didn’t have to even say anything tho…………like at all,” a fan commented. Someone else said, “Having some f–king respect and couth!!” Another user wrote, “Why would u post this he’s deceased let him rest.”

Back in 2018, Michael K. Williams had a few words for 50 cent because he allegedly spread a fake rumor about “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond getting jumped in jail.

“I just stopped pass with a little message for anyone who may or may not be interested in anything they’ve heard in regards to Jimmy Rosemond on social media these past few days,” he wrote.

“They are completely false y’all. I speak to him and his team of lawyers on a regular basis and I assure you he is fine and in prayer. So with that I’ll say to anyone under the sound of this simple man’s voice God bless.”

50 cent responded to his comments by stating, “old Omar how much they pay you to play a punk PUNK. Mind your business da fuck wrong wit you.”
