Female-Led Horror ‘The Night House’ Is The Perfect Summer Scare
As we approach Fall, we are ready to embrace all the things that come with the season, including our favorite thrillers and horrors, but one Summer flick had us cowering in the heat!
Do you guys believe in Ghosts?
Female-led horror film ‘The Night House’ is one of this Summer’s scares, and it does not disappoint! The psychological horror directed by David Bruckner, follows a female protagonist going through grief and trauma following the loss of her husband, but not everything is as it seems. The jump scares alone will leave you keeping the light on at night, and questioning what’s really real!
Starring Rebecca Hall as Beth, combatting the loss of her husband Owen (Evan Jonigkeit) while living in their once idyllic Lake House, that is now a place of torment that leads Beth to Owens secrets.
“The horror genre is reclaiming some history of females just being objects that scream,” Hall said in an interview with Variety. “Now there’s a reclaiming of that to turn it into something more constructive and potent.”
Without too many spoilers, if you are looking for a well-thought-out plot, or want to dig into a disturbing past, do not miss out!
The Night House will be in theatres on August 20, 2021! #Socialites make sure you catch this Summer scare.
