Last week, J Cole announced his next tour “The Off Season Tour‘ on Instagram alongside collaborators on the album 21 Savage and Morray.

The Off-Season Tour is set to begin in late September with a concert at FTX Arena in Miami. kicking off a string of seventeen dates across several major North American cities before coming to a close in Los Angeles.

Cities included on the lineup are as follows: Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Greensboro, Philadelphia, Boston, Brooklyn, Washington, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Oakland, and Los Angeles.

Fans have since been reacting to the news, showing their anticipation for it to kick off. While this remains one of the major discussions in Hip Hop, Dreamville’s co founder Ibrahim Hamad, used the opportunity to shared his thoughts on tours.

According to Ibrahim, who’s also J Cole’s manager, Tour is the most reliable measure of impact in music. “To me Ticket sales is the truest gauge of impact in music,” he wrote on Twitter.

“You can fake streams, album sales, YouTube views, followers, bundles, you can have 30 songs to boost your streams.”

He continued, “But you can’t fake people being at a show, which is why I love seeing the work pay off when a tour goes up.”
