Tamar Braxton Says She Tried To Commit Suicide Because Her Son Logan ‘Deserved Better’

Back in July, prayers were up for Tamar Braxton following reports that she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after being found unconscious for an alleged suicide attempt. She ingested a toxic combination of wine and prescription pills

Well, Tamar Braxton broke down in tears as she revealed that she attempted suicide over the summer because she felt her seven-year-old son Logan ‘deserved better’.

During an upcoming appearance on Taraji P. Henson’s new Facebook Watch show Peace Of Mind With Taraji, Tamar said this of her suicide attempt: ‘Logan was the reason why I made that decision. I just felt like he deserved better.”

She continued, “I felt like I was embarrassing him, being a fool on TV.’ Henson asked if she ‘thought [Logan] would be better without’ her, prompting a tearful Tamar to respond: ‘I thought in that moment.’

‘That’s not who I was. I didn’t want him to be embarrassed in front of his friends. Here is this loudmouth ghetto mama.’

Tamar was found unresponsive on July 16 at the Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown Los Angeles. She was then transferred to a local hospital facility to receive more specialized mental health treatment.

Thankfully Tamar is still here to tell her story. I’m sure we can all agree that Logan needs his mom.
