Megan Thee Stallion & Jeezy's First-Week Sales Projections Are In

Megan Thee Stallion ‘Good News’ & Jeezy ‘The Recession 2’ First-Week Sales Projections Are In

Last week, Jeezy dropped his long-anticipated album The Recession 2, which is the sequel to his 2008 album. The Recession 2 has fifteen total songs.

The project has features from Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, E-40, Ne-Yo, Tamika Mallory (who is also a guest on Jeezy’s podcast), and, surprisingly enough, Demi Lovato.

Last week also, Megan Thee Stallion released her debut studio album ‘Good News’ a follow up to an EP she released earlier this year titled ‘SUGA’.

Good News features a number of artists including DaBaby, City Girls, Lil Durk, SZA, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Popcaan and her previously released collaboration with Beyonce.

According to HipHopNMore, the first-week sales projections for Megan’s proper debut Good News are in. But, it won’t be able to debut at the number one spot, a position occupied by the gargantuan presence of K-Pop titan BTS and their new album Be (which moved 256k units).

Megan pulled in 92k, with 10k of which coming from traditional sales. This latest release doubles the first-week sales of her previous project Suga, which moved 41k units when it dropped in March.

On the other hand, Jeezy’s latest album brought in 25k in sales, with 3k of which coming by way of physical copies. As such, Jeezy found himself falling below the top 10, holding down the 17th spot.
