Floyd Mayweather & Rick Ross Offer Words Of Encouragement To Nate Robinson

Nate Robinson has been a subject of mockery after he was brutally knocked out by YouTuber Jake Paul, during the undercard of the Mike Tyson Vs. Roy Jones Jr. fight on Saturday night.

The former NBA star has been getting clowned on social media ever since, even his fellow NBA stars didn’t spare him.

However, there are still some people who would like to encourage Nate to keep his head up high. Rick Ross offered Robinson some words of encouragement as he seeked to honor the former-NBA player’s basketball legacy.

“I finna find a Nate Robinson jersey to put on today,” Ross said as he looked at his collection of jerseys in his closet. “Y’all got the Nate Robinson Challenge going on. They pickin’ on the man. That’s my dawg, man,” he added.

“I finna find a Nate Robinson jersey because this shit ain’t right. Y’all did my dawg wrong. You know he was promoting WingStop,” he said. Unfortunately, Ross doesn’t possess a Robinson jersey but he did offer the embattled athlete to pick up a 50 piece of wings.

“I still want you to go get a 50 piece WingStop and find a way to enjoy the day. All the memes going on. Everybody face down, ass up. I get it. I get it. I get it. But Nate, you went in there and you got you a check. Just look at the positive,” Ross concluded.

Floyd Mayweather also offered up some encouragement to the amateur boxer. The undefeated boxing champ shared an old picture of himself and Nate with a lengthy caption.

“Nate, I’m proud of you and I will always stand behind all my brothers. I will never kick my brother when he’s down. It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you,” he wrote.

“We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly. I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort,” Floyd added.

Floyd also noted that he wanted to train Robinson although the former NBA star ultimately declined.
