Muslims Cancel Rihanna For Song Played During Her Lingerie Show

Rihanna is currently facing heavy backlash and she’s being cancelled by Muslim folks on social media for the song played during her recent Savage X Fenty Lingerie show.

The event features stunning appearances from her brand ambassadors. However, Riri is being criticized for one of the songs played during the event.

The R&B icon is accused of culturally appropriating Islam by playing a version of a hadith. According to Newsweek, hadiths are “highly revered records of the traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad”, which are understandably sacred to Muslims around the world.

For reasons best known to the organizers, the song called “Doom” was played, performed by London producer Coucou Chloe, who previously explained her use of the vocal sample.

“For those who were wondering what were the vocal samples – I didn’t make the vocals on this one as you can easily guess,” she reportedly wrote about the song, which was released several years ago.

Rihanna’s ignorance caused her to be slammed by her Muslim fans for using this particular track, which reportedly uses a hadith about the “end of our times”.

She’s accused of being Islamophobic and cultural appropriation. See some reactions below :
