Monica In Trouble For Wearing ‘Fake’ Fendi During Versus Battle With Brandy

R&B singer Monica may be in trouble, for allegedly wearing a fake Fendi suit and hat during her popular Versus battle with Brandy. She’s currently trending on Twitter over the supposed fake outfit.

The singer wore a head to toe outfit, purportedly created by the Italian fashion house. Viewers of the battle started speculating on Monica’s outfit and made findings about it.

Eventually, a popular Instagram fashionista actually reached out to Fendi, and was told (allegedly) that they did not create Monica’s outfit. It’s noteworthy that according to the United States Department of Justice, it’s not illegal to buy a counterfeit product for your personal use, even if you know it’s a fake.

However, the problem is that Monica wore the allegedly fake outfit on a live video show that she got paid for. And so that could bring a host of legal issues if Fendi chooses to go after her.

Over a million people tuned in to watch the live Verzuz battle and there were so many celebs leaving comments throughout the event. Monica and Brandy spent hours playing their songs and even premiering new songs for fans.

Michelle Obama made sure to remind fans watching the battle to register to vote. Kamala Harris also made a special appearance at the beginning of the show to chat with the two stars.
