Lupe Fiasco Double Down On Being A Better Lyricist Than Kendrick Lamar, Says K Dot Is A Better Artist

Lupe Fiasco was heavily dragged on social media yesterday, after claiming that he’s a better lyricist than Kendrick Lamar. Most Hip Hop fans don’t seem to agree with him and he caught backlash over the remarks.

It all started when an Hip Hop fan page asked their followers whether they thought Lupe Fiasco or Kendrick Lamar was a better lyricist. “Lupe but…” the Chicago rapper responded.

TDE’s president Punch, reacted to the claim at the time, laughing away the comments. Following the backlash, Lupe took back to Twitter to double down on his comment in a series of now deleted tweets.

“In my own words…once again for you b*tches…I love me some KDot…always have always will,” the rapper tweeted.

“With that said do think I he’s a good lyricist? Yes. Do I think he’s the best lyricist? No. Do I think it’s lyricists that are better than him? Yes. Is he a better artist than me? Yes. Is he a better lyricist than me? No. Does he make better songs than me? Yes.”

He continued, “Did I think control was ridicule? No. Am I jealous of Kdot? No. Did I personally give him his props in chicago on stage as the next n*gga to take the crown? YES. Is It on camera? Yes. Did I mean it? Yes.”

Lupe claims that “unsuccessful n*ggaz” are “pushing this” after he called himself and Kendrick Lamar “legends.” “TDE is my favorite rap label. Bye,” he added.
