Big Sean’s ‘Detroit 2’ On Pace To Debut At Number 2 With 125K First Week Sales

Over the weekend, Big Sean dropped his highly anticipated album ‘Detroit 2’. The 21-track record drops same time as Tekashi 6ix9ine’s ‘Tattle Tales’. There have been tension among fans of both rappers on who would clinch the number one spot on the Billboard chart.

“I want people to feel the roots of Detroit — the undeniable soul, that unbreakable spirit,” Big Sean said of his album during an interview.

“Detroit gets slept on sometimes, but I don’t think there’s any greater or more impactful city, especially musically throughout the decades. I couldn’t let that die. I had to do my version of the impact all that music had,” Sean added.
