The internet went wild couple of days ago, following fake report that singer Usher broke The Weeknd‘s nose in a brawl. The rumor was accompanied with pictures showing The Weeknd’s two black eyes, a popped lip and a busted nose.

Back in April, The Weeknd made controversial claims against fellow R&B star Usher, accusing him of stealing his ‘House Of Balloons’ style style on “Climax“. However, rumors has it that Usher retaliated and broke Weeknd’s nose.

In reality, The Weeknd real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, stepped out this week wearing stage makeup that simulated a busted nose and a split lip for VMA rehearsals in NYC. The three-time Grammy winner caused stir on his way to rehearse for the annual fan-voted awards show in a face full of bloody makeup and fake bruises.

Just in time, Weeknd has refuted the fight rumors, saying he and Usher never had beef. “He’s one of the reasons why I make music,” the “Blinding Lights” singer told Esquire magazine.

“I have nothing bad to say about Usher. The sweetest, most down-to-earth guy ever,” Abel added.

“I hit him up to apologize and tell him that it was misconstrued,” the singer told Esquire. “Of course media blows things out of proportion and takes things out of context. Usher is a King and always an inspiration so it was flattering to hear what him and Diplo did on climax.”
