Hip Hop Fans Criticizes XXL Freshman Class 2020 Over Don Toliver Exclusion

XXL magazine drops this year’s freshman class list and it’s since been garnering lots of reactions from Hip Hop fans. The 2020 XXL Freshman Class had 12 rappers included which is somehow different from the previous years that is majorly 10-11 emcees.

Some names were excluded and it’s been causing uproar on Twitter. The likes of Don Toliver, 42 Dugg, iann dior and Lil Tecca were snubbed From the list.

Although fans seem to agree with some of the snubbed names, Don Toliver’s exclusion is what they don’t understand. He’s been making waves for the last couple of years, always being mentioned in the background for the all-important XXL Freshman Class.

In the last couple years, it has been understandable why he was left off. However, this year was definitely his year to make it. With his new album Heaven Or Hell seen as one of the best projects of the year so far, and with the way “After Party” has been rocking speakers.

Many thought he should have made the cut and they’ve taken to Twitter to air their dissatisfaction. They pointed out the inclusion of 30 year old Fivio Foreign and a barely known 24kGoldn over Don Toliver.

“DON TOLIVER IS LITERALLY BETTER THAN EVERY ARTIST ON THE XXL FRESHMAN LIST,” a fan tweeted. “How Don Toliver drop one of the best albums of the year and not make XXL Freshman list? Make it make sense,” another wrote.
