Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., popularly known as T.I is undeniably one of the veterans in the Hip Hop scene. But he feels he’s not getting the props he deserves and he is letting it known, demanding some respects to his name.

Tip signed his first major-label record deal in 1999 with Arista subsidiary LaFace. In 2001, Harris formed the Southern hip hop group P$C, alongside his longtime friends and fellow Atlanta-based rappers Big Kuntry King, Mac Boney, and C-Rod.

The self acclaimed King of The South signed to Atlantic and subsequently became the co-chief executive officer of his own label imprint, Grand Hustle Records, which he launched in 2003. Harris is also known as one of the artists who popularized the hip hop subgenre trap music, along with Jeezy and Gucci Mane.

T.I recently sat down with Big Boy about the ongoing online debate, and was offended that people would even value him lower than a legend. “All the names that people be saying… I don’t think people realize who I am. I don’t think y’all really know who I am. I don’t think y’all remember what I’ve done bro,” he lamented.

“I don’t think y’all know. Just cause I don’t jump up, step up on tables, kick over tables, and demand you to pay attention to me, that don’t mean… Listen, man. You ‘gon have to put mine up there. You gotta go talk to Jay-Zs, you gotta go talk to Kanyes. You gotta go talk to Lil Waynes.”

The Grammy award winning rapper has released ten studio albums, with seven of them reaching the top five of the US Billboard 200 chart.

His sixth album, Paper Trail (2008), became his most successful project, with the album being certified gold for first-week sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States, additionally making it his third consecutive number one album.
