SZA Says Fans Call Her The ‘Queen Of R&B’ & Twitter Is Wondering When

TDE singer SZA, is currently trending on Twitter and it’s not the cancel culture dragging her, but folks online making fun of her statement in a recent interview where she said fans have been referring to her as the ‘Queen of R&B’.

SZA said that she doesn’t want to be referred to as the Queen of R&B during an interview with Wonderland Magazine and Twitter users ironically agree that she doesn’t hold the title.

The ‘Love Galore’ crooner spoke on how her music is perceived and on how she doesn’t want to be boxed into one genre. Stating that she has been called the “Queen of R&B” by some folks in the past, SZA claimed that she doesn’t necessarily agree with the title.

“I spent too much time growing up on just as much Imogen Heap, and listening to Comfort Eagle by Cake and vibing for people to call me a ‘queen of R&B,'” said the singer. “Why can’t I just be a queen, period?”

While she’s absolutely a Queen, folks online do not agree that she’s the Queen of R&B. “U gotta respect the confidence of SZA for thinking she the queen of R&B cuz sometimes thats all it takes to take over lol,” a fan wrote.
